How to Host a Party on a Pontoon
Pontoons are popular party boats thanks to their abundance of deck space and passenger seating. However, while there’s plenty of space to have your friends and family onboard, you’ll still need to prep quite a few things to ensure you’re ready to host so many guests on one boat. For tips on how to prepare for your upcoming pontoon party, check out the article below.
Snacks & Beverages
If possible, we encourage you not to try and serve large-scale meals on your pontoon. While it can be done, you’ll need to do a majority of the prep off your boat, and storing the food can be tricky. We recommend sticking with finger foods or a snack table instead. When preparing your food, don’t forget that you’ll need to bring along plenty of water and drinks for everyone on board as well. We recommend storing everything in a cooler to ensure it stays cold.
Clean Up
Don’t forget to consider cleanup when planning your party. The more people there are the more trash there will be, and it’s not unlikely that there will be a spill or two as well, as guests adjust to being on the water. Be sure to bring along plenty of trash bags, rags or paper towels, and a multi-cleaner for any unexpected spills. A broom and some sort of trash receptacle could also be helpful for getting everything cleaned up once your guests have gone home.
